I don't want to jinx myself, but I'm finding encouraging results with this doctor.

That's great to hear... Could you tell us a bit more about the treatment you're following?
I've been working with my main symptom: dysautonomia, which causes me to pass out unexpectedly. Since I don’t bounce like I used to, I’ve ended up breaking some ribs and my collarbone. This has really put a damper on my ability to exercise—every time I try, I end up passing out.
So, here’s what my therapist does: he puts me on a tilt table and elevates it until I start to feel faint. Then, he performs some eye movements and other techniques, including laser therapy, until my pulse rate stabilizes. After that, he gradually raises the table a bit more, moving me from lying flat to standing upright.
He also synchronizes my inner ear by having me focus a head mounted laser pointer on different targets while his staff wheels me up and down the hall in a reclining wheelchair, all the while checking my blood pressure and pulse rate. To wrap things up, I finish with transcranial laser therapy while receiving supplemental oxygen.
This is the first thing I’ve done in a couple of years that seems to be helping stabilize my blood pressure and heart rate. I haven’t felt like I was going to pass out, and I haven’t actually passed out in about six weeks now!
