it can be helpful but if you already have blood pressure in the low range it might make it go too low

"Propranolol may cause low blood pressure. If you feel faint or dizzy, lie down. Tell your healthcare provider right away if you have any of the following symptoms of low blood pressure."

Yes, MDS told me that but my family doctor prescribed me propannol. It worked well for me for a while without any levedopa. I was taking as required mainly when I had to go out. With tremors progression, I am taking levedopa as required along with propannol. I found tremors are more controlled when I am taking levedopa with propannol. But I take it only when I have to go to a social event or to my office. I mostly work from home.

How much Propranolol do you have to take in order to control your Parkinson's tremor?

Thank you

Only 10mg (1pill) helps around 6 hours

Apologies, forgot to ask: is your tremor, by any chance, a whole-body tremor?

Started in the left hand, spread slightly to lrft leg. Now slightly happening in the right hand

Thank you for the quick reply.Unfortunately for me, my tremor/shaking started as a whole-body tremor. Propranolol was not helpful either.

What I am reading indicates Propranolol can exacerbate renal dysfunction. Since I already am in the first stages of kidney failure, I don't think I will try.

Propranolol didn't work for my tremor, and it took away all my interest in living. We are all so different! I'm glad when someone benefits from any treatment.

same here. It’s amazing how everyone reacts different to most treatments

Idem, I initially used propranolol for my essential tremors. However, I experienced a (known) side effect of severe fatigue and lethargy, making the medication more troublesome than the condition itself. Therefore, the combination of propranolol with PD for the resting tremor does not seem to be a suitable option for me personally.
