Neuropathy can be the result of vitamin B6 deficiency or vitamin B6 toxicity. Vitamin B6 deficiency is common in Parkinson's patients taking a lot of levodopa medication. I have posted extensively on this matter. Start with this overview: healthunlocked.com/cure-par...
I get this in my upper back and have been thinking it's because of the constant stress of tremor. Could it also be because I'm not exercising enough lately? Or from taking very different amounts of mucuna each day? I mostly take it as needed.
Overuse injury can occur as a result of tremor, but that is different from neuropathy. What sensations are you having?
Unlike levodopa medication, mucuna will not deplete vitamin B6.
I'm having prickly feelings like tingling but very unpleasant. It's sort of alleviated when I sit or if I slouch.
I have neuropathy linked to Parkinson’s . It is briefly relieved when I take CL Carbidoa Levodopa. But I no longer get enough relief to get a good night sleep. Other measures are somewhat helpful such as grounding, which means walking barefoot on grass.. also I get some relief from taking magnesium and using magnesium lotion on my feet as well as CBD lotion, which uses an extract from the hemp plant that is not addictive or illegal anywhere. Also, I do a lot of walking and I protectmy poor feet with extra socks wrapped around the toes. Also a foot rub helps a lot. Also a low inflammation diet helps! And finally i get better sleep and walk better when I tape my toes with kinesiology tape!
II had this, prior to having Parkinson's , from type II diabetes. Alpha Lipoic acid, 300 mg twice a day helped and has kept me the neuropathy stable for 10 years. It's worth a try. Results are not instantaneous.
