Recording available for NoSilverBullet’s webinar with Dr Laurie Mischley on “Rebranding" Parkinson’s

We were delighted to host Dr Laurie Mischley, who is probably the world's leading Parkinson's naturopath, on “Rebranding" Parkinson’s. Her presentation was followed by a Q&A session from our audience.

Despite 200+ years of effort, we do not yet have a system to prevent, halt, or reverse Parkinson’s. Dr Mischley explores the notion that the problem lies in the lens through which we’ve been viewing it, the approaches we’ve been taking, and the assumptions we’ve been making.

The recording of the interview is available now on our YouTube channel so please take a look:

It is also now available as a Podcast on all major Podcast providers.

Dr Mischley also gave us a free coupon to attend her Parkinson school for free for a month:

Dr Mischley’s previous NoSilverBullet’s webinar on "What do successful people do to slow down PD progression?” has been viewed more than 100,000 times on our YouTube channel and can be viewed here: youtu.be/LdpfNnnAzKI?featur...

Our next speaker will be Dr Ray Dorsey on December 16 (invitations will follow).

One of the best presentations I've seen. She explains why no progress has been made in 200 years. Thanks for bringing it to us.

This was a really good webinar, most informative.

However, we do have ways to slow, and reverse the symptoms of PD if we focus on causes rather than "disease" (or "syndrome").

As a healthcare practitioner, it is critical for me to treat the causes of the symptoms displayed by the person in front of me rather than a diagnosis or interim symptoms like deficient dopamine, gut dysfunction or mitochondrial damage.

With careful questionnaire, some testing and 25 years of insight, we can find the originating causes - which may have occurred before conception - then create strategies to reverse the symptoms caused by those events.

This is really hard work and take s long time, but my dedicated patients improve their health (i.e. reverse symptoms) and some have completely recovered.

Laurie Mischley has provided, and is providing, wonderful information on positive deviants, what helps and what hinders, and how we can slow some of the processes involved in this syndrome. But we MUST spend time and money on more research into causes. I have spent my own money over 25 years and have only some of the answers (but important answers) and would love to work with anyone prepared to delve more deeply into the causes I have identified.

My husband and I watched the presentation and felt there were so many positives we can take from her approach. Thanks for the inspiring presentation and all that you do on your Silver Bullet events.

Fairly soon after my husband's diagnosis I came across Laurie and she was so informative and sensible. She offered more information than our UCL (London) neuro did! Thank you for setting up this up.

Laurie spoke about intranasal Glutathione. Any recommendations where to buy one? And which form, if any?

Her comments to me about nasal delivery were that it’s messy and a bit of a faff compared to other (simpler) delivery mechanisms that show similar results. She advised me to use liposomal Glutathione. I’ve used the Quicksilver product. It’s expensive tho.

Thanks for the information.

She specifically mentioned intranasal, which improved handwriting in all subjects.

There's a list of supplements that she tracks, against ProPD "success". It's been published several times on HU, updates and all, over the years. I go thru it with her every 90 days line by line. Intra-nasal and liposomal GSH are adjacent on the list indicating virtually no difference in efficacy. Liposomal significantly easier to administer. The extra hassle and mess of i/nasal in her view is not worth it. It is often mentioned, however, as i/nasal delivery was the subject of one of her academic submissions.

thanks Michel and Mark - Brilliant session with Laurie- she is amazing - I joined PD school when it recently started- so good and so enthusiastic - isn’t so true what she says about the way we are presented with our diagnosis?

Absolutely, I think we all have experienced that!

Does anyone know if Dr. Mischley offers her annual testing as a service? It would be great to get a comprehensive test done annually to see personalized deficiencies and plan of action even if we can't participate as a regular patient of hers. Is it also possible to do it remotely like sending in samples for testing.

I think the test kit she uses is on Amazon. See the response someone made on HU previously with this link below.

"She uses the Doctor's Data Essential Elements and Heavy Metals Toxicity Test (22 Elements and 17 Toxins), which is a hair test that you can order yourself on Amazon for around $125. "

She was very informative and encouraging, as always. However, I tried to find the Parkinson's Panel (to determine deficiencies of certain vitamins and minerals, etc.) through Cleveland HeartLab, which she showed during her presentation. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the Parkinson's Panel among the available tests on the Cleveland HeartLab website.
