An annual report shows 136 drugs trials taking place in the Parkinson's research community, but moving to phase 3 trials remains a challenge.

136 tests going on -- dang, there's alot of "research money" being tossed about I'm sure. I guess if these teams were to find a viable cure or a symptoms eradicating solution, that would end their sweet paychecks.

I'm optomistic that there are at least trials going on, but skeptical of how many there are that are truly serious efforts.

To bad we couldn't get the likes of an Elon Musk, or Zuckerberg, or Gates (if these latter two even had hearts) to sponsor a $250 - $500 million finders fee for the first entity to find a real cure or a med that reduces the symptoms to the point they are way more manageable.

Although, if one of these uber-rich tycoons were to get hit with this affliction, I'm sure things would get serious rather quickly.....
