Hi,

Looking for your opinion on the quality of Bulk Supplements. I read somewhere that each batch of their's is third party tested.

Any feedback appreciated...

👎 When just looking at the B vitamins in the 'BULK Complete multivitamin complex,' I notice that no bioactive form is used, there is opaque information about the ingredients, and even at the recommended serving of 3 tablets per day, even for mister safety first Esperanto, the dosage is too low. Additionally, there are unnecessary fillers of fruit and vegetable extracts, which are better consumed fresh. It may seem cheap, but considering the content, €0.47 per serving is simply too expensive.

I went there looking for Glycine and NAC powders.

I already have Vitacost NAC 600mg capsules and Bulk Supplements Glycine 1000mg capsules are on the way

Are you using GlyNAC or standalone NAC?

You can eat all the supplements you want but, and this is a very big BUT!

If you don't do FAST WALKING, FOR ONE HOUR, EVERY SECOND DAY. YOU WULL NEVER OVERSCOME YOUR PD.

At the beginning you may not be able to manage one hour, but keep doing it and within six minths, you will get to the one hour time!

By then, you will already start to feel better.

Iyt took me two years to overcome my PD movement symptoms but it was worth it.

I started FAST WALKING in 1994 and have done itr ever since. I am no 89 and still fast walkig and still PD SYMPTOM-FREE!

I hear you Bro. 😎 instead of sitting on the couch all day feeling sorry for yourself Use the downtime as a reward after HIT walking

Thanks John. It works! But now I’ve developed debilitating sciatica. Any remedies or back up options?

Have you spoken to a chiropractor?

Good idea! But No. I had back surgery 3 years ago and can’t have chiropractic.

Is she able to lie on her back and do strenuous arm exercises?

Yes! I’ve also been going to PT . They have a machine where you are seated and can do arms snd legs together. Not too painful. Did 10 min all out fast and felt well enough afterwards to go grocery shopping.

That sounds great. Don't be tempted to do it every day. You must give your muscles time to recover!

Jay,

Their mucuna pruriens powder is blended with a high GI synthetic carbohydrate so I opted against purchasing.

Hmmm. Interesting. I use the stuff. It's effective. Even though it is "free from added sugar..." I have always suspected it had something added for flavor. I do use some other products from them.

Yes, I've used their mannitol and the quality seemed fine. I've stopped taking it though because in the long term it seemed to make my symptoms worse.

Curious as to why Parkies would take that in the first place. I know it is sometimes included in sublingual formulations to induce salivation and (maybe) absorption.

A mannitol study in Israel was undertaken a number of years and suggested it was beneficial - particularly olfactory benefits. I found it made my tremors worse.

We purchased Mucuna Pruriens powder from Bulk Supplements and my PD husband was using it 3 times a day for about 4 months. He was dead set against the pharmaceutical Levodopa carbidopa. He had major tremors, slow walking, slow to speak and absolutely no facial expression. Finally he agreed to stop using it and try the pharmaceutical. He is much more alive now, even though the tremors and slow gait are still present. But the cognitive part is back. Our daughters feel they have their dad back.

When I emailed the company, they said they do not test for the % of levadopa in the powder. We do not use it now.
