While this study reported no significant objective benefit (moderate evidence of absence), but significant subjective benefit (moderate evidence) for the treatment of levodopa-induced dyskinesias in PD. Magnet therapy has been around for a long time. I remember a colleague gave me a rubberized magnetic pad that could wrap around a joint. The degree of magnetism is expressed as Gauss. Medical magnets have 1000 Gauss. I didn't want to experiment on a patient so I used it on my own sore Achilles. It seemed to help but I realized the rubbery matrix generated a lot of heat. I could get the same effect by wrapping Saran Wrap around my leg. BUT 1000 Gauss magnets are available from medical supply companies.
