Hello,

I've had a weird phenomenon recently. I normally enjoy sweet and sour chicken from a local restaurant. Last time I had it, around a month ago I didn't enjoy it, I put it down to having a cold. However, yesterday we had a family get together and all made a big order. It was horrible, the more I ate the worse it got, to the point where even the smell of it made me feel sick. Everyone else loved the food; it just tasted bitter and strange.

Does this sound like a PD thing? A medication thing? Or a COVID thing (I've had it three times)?

I haven't noticed anything else tasting differently....

Thank you 😊

Covid can do that. Also I had weird taste changes when pregnant so I think hormones can do it too.

Think depends on the chief, is deep fry and too sweet anyway, something pwp shouldn't eat too much anyway.

I had the same problem about 3 years before my PD diagnosis. I was at an event in NY and I ordered steak. It tasted rancid. Others at the event said that the steak was delicious. It happened again a few months later at another event. I got diagnosed in 2015 and haven't had steak since then. My sense of smell left me around the same time.
