Has anyone experienced PD related lethargy and if so did you find anything that help?
PD lethargy: Has anyone experienced PD... - Cure Parkinson's
PD lethargy
Lethargy is definitely one of my symptoms and especially fatigue in the mid to late afternoon. I’m not sure if it’s the condition or the levocarb. I don’t want to admit it , but I feel pretty good after I drink a redbull, although I find they taste terrible. Coffee doesn’t do it for me. I find I crash after a lot of sugar, but not with the redbull. Maybe it’s not just the caffeine but the load of B vitamins they pack into it too. Energy drinks are probably not a long-term solution!
Yea. It is a common symptom of PD, Fast Walking certainly helps with that, as it does with most of the movement problems. It is a 'FIX-IT-ALL' way of dealing with PD. If you have not read my book on PD then do your self a v=favour and read it and start the FAST WALKIMG. You will never look back on that decison.
it’s mitochondrial dysfunction. Watch this
I don't know if you exercise or even if you can but cycling swimming or whatever is a great cure
Exercise even if you hate it. Do it for your family. I chant their names with every step. I’m determined to maintain my mobility and independence so that I’m not a burden as long as possible.
Thank you for responding and actually I love exercising but unfortunately my body is falling apart faster than I can keep up with it. I'm sure some of that is to blame on genetics but also on 37 years of construction work. Most of the time I am energized after a workout but not always.
Cheers, Craig

My husband exhibited constant lethargy. About 3 weeks ago after reading Daphne Bryan’s book “Parkinsons and the B-1 Therapy” i started him on the sublingual tabs. I don’t know as I’ve yet reached the optimal dosage that the book recommends that you experiment to find, but it definitely seems to have decreased his constant napping. It’s not a miracle cure but i see it as a definite positive direction. When he’s napping he’s not doing any of the things we know are helpful - like exercising or socializing.
Hi - I was getting tired at 1pm and thought it was Parkinsons. It was low B12. Just thru supplementing w a B Complex I feel so much better. As you can learn on this site, PD meds deplete B12 & other B vitamins. It's complicated. But I recommend you get a blood test for B12 cuz knowledge is power
