nortriptyline seems to have many dangerous side effects

"Topical treatments. Lidocaine cream that is available without a prescription can be applied to the skin.

Lidocaine patches are another treatment you apply to the skin to improve pain. Side effects can include drowsiness, dizziness and numbness at the site of the patch."

Thanks for the reply....seeing Dr this week stopped nortiplyine until then....had heart problems long qt irregular slow fast in past but thought all undercontroll with cardiologist ......I think its shame that for me had side effects and grateful for information.

Yes usually my tn controlled by lyrica with breakthrough pain but for some reason I understand why thought better management with additional meds nortiplyine latrimogine aswell but not started....offered patches but not effective for me n pepper paste.......both irritating as touch taking even light breeze can set it off when it is flaring up ......

I think have cited quite well with lyrica but for some reason think that may not be so good now

But nortiplyine needs replacing and does anyone know or use alternative type medication not thinking any of the s nri sssi be of any use ....as all affect heart ....think sertarline may be one could try.......may be my cardiologist may be able to help.

Sure they will sort out...

Just checking what folks doing themselves

Wishing you all the best .....Will get intouch with specialist let them know what happened and cardiologist......sure all work out in the end

Just nuisance long time suffering t.n , also post op neuropathic pain and then more recently more cancers removed aggregating my whole condition......ill improve I hope with time and have faith on my Dr's to sort out .

Thanks for the replies all the best wishes
