Doc vs Parkinson's Instagram says trials are coming by December instagram.com/p/CyCiRjWM5Om/

"Finally. Clinical trials for #thenext10 will start immediately and Doc predicts dopaminergic cells will be inserted around Christmas and 6 months later we will hopefully see positive results. I will start posting more and more now that we finally have some positive momentum. #dochasworklefttodo. Tell people to start following as updates on Doc and the next 10 patients will include a ton of information."

This is science right? The procedure had little or no success at 24 months according to imaging data. No subsequent imaging data has been published. At 24 months, docs medication was

extended-release carbidopa–levodopa (in capsules containing 23.75 mg and 95 mg, respectively, at a dose of three, three, two, and three capsules four times daily),

rotigotine (4 mg daily),

rasagiline (1 mg daily),

and droxidopa (100 mg daily)

(total daily dose, 847 mg of levodopa equivalents)

But he felt better. Much better. Open label. Unblinded. He spent $2 million, and feels better day by day, but has no evidence either from imaging or objective UPDRS score, but his self assessed Quality of Life score is hugely improved (whilst on a ton of medication)

I just don't see advocates of autologous stem cell transplants describing success in those terms

Thanks WinnieThePoo. I have long been wondering about the lack of positive updates on their Instagram. I recall seeing something about how Doc believed this treatment was too late for Doc but that he hoped to help others (I think I saw that).

I mostly shared this as A: It is news, and B: If there is a new trial maybe people will want to jump in.
