Dx'd with PD 7 years ago, For the past few weeks at bedtime I've fallen asleep in front of the TV. I walk to the bedroom and can't fall back to sleep. I don't have sleep apnea. If I get back up and go back to the living room I might fall back to sleep but the same thig happens. Shortly I wake and can't get back to sleep. Melatonin doesn't seem to help.
Any suggestions?
TIA,
kevin

I woke up, I was driving the car, it was in the intersection of a main high way and a 4 lane street at the stop lights. I was trying to make a left turn and had been waiting for the oncoming traffic to go through but now my light was red and traffic was trying to go around me and blowing their horns and through a couple of light cycles, some thought I had died.
My doctor said it was probably caused by my medication , likely Ropinirole. I immediately stopped driving and never drove again . It continued completely with out warning for several years .
I assume your post is a response to my earlier post. I quit RYTARY over a month ago. The only change has been an up-tick in libido. Nothing dramatic but noticeably better than the 'absolutely zero libido' it had been while taking RYTARY for two years.
I know this post is a month old but I searched on insomnia and found your post. I have exactly the same issue for the past few weeks. If I do fall asleep in bed, I wake up soon after and can’t fall back asleep. I may finally fall asleep around 2 or 3am and get maybe 4 hours. I take melatonin and magnesium plus other herbal stuff for sleep plus extended release C/L. Have you found any relief?
