Working full-time with a DBS

DBS Deep Brain Stimulation.

1) Are there any warriors who have received DBS and are still employed full-time?

2) Are there any IT/computers warriors who have received DBS and are still working?

Just wondering if that's humanly possible.

Can I ask why you had to undergo DBS so early. Did symptoms forced you to consider DBS or you did it preventively to make yourself more fit for the job

my med last about 2 hr no matter how much I take. feeling worn out and stiffness

.DBS is not a cure and not perfect, but I will be much worse without it. I only 44y can't afford not working.

more like " preventively to make yourself more fit for the job", i would go through this brain surgery when i am still young rather than when i get older

My husband and I decided this same thing when he got his DBS. He'd rather have a better quality of life while he's younger and not wait. He was about 53 when he had his surgery.

It was a great decision.

My husband had DBS 2.5 years ago and is still working.

General question for the respondents ; What benefits do you see when working that DBS provides for you? Is cognition affected at all?

I'm still working and scheduled for DBS Nov. 13 and I'm hoping to continue working
