This guy is talking about isotonic tones 😆and it's the first time I've heard gamma described as being less than 25 Hz. 😵

Anyway, I gather the 40 Hz gamma chosen by Li-Huei Tsai at MIT (and uploaded by you👍) is isochronic. Which says a lot.

Edit: added a laughing emoji 'cause comment was tongue-in-cheek

Good catches. This guy is clearly not an expert in this field. He WAS talking about Isochronic tones but kept saying Isotonic. And he used a sine before 25 HZ in his chart. I will take his advice with a pinch of salt.

As for the 40 HZ Gamma chosen by Li-Huei Tsai at MIT, I read that the frequency of that 40 HZ tone (they modulated a high frequency at 40 HZ) was selected based on the hearing range of the mice in the study. Therefore I quit using that audio file and just make my own 40 HZ tones.

Let me know if I can help with anything.

Is Tsai's tone isochronic? I think, critically, it is. Important to know!

Are the audio files you are making isochronic?

Do we know whether that same Tsai tone is used in the human studies?

I used an audio spectrum analyzer app (called 'Spectroid') to find the audio frequency of that Tsai tone to be 1 kHz. I presume* it is a frequency of 1 kHz pulsed at 40 Hz.

I don't follow your reasoning to 'quit using' the 'Tsai tone' - particularly given the enthusiastic comments about its effects at the YouTube video where it is featured.

* could be especially wrong about this 🤔
