any idea on this ?

The emergence of Parkinson's disease is linked to the misfolding of the protein α-synuclein. Dr. Chopin and the paper's other authors found that an extract from the brown seaweed Alaria esculenta can prevent this conversion and, therefore, could be useful in avoiding the onset of the disease or delaying its progress.

The cause of PD is the lack of sufficient GDNF in the brain. The only way to build-up GDNF is to walk as fast as you can for up to one hour every second day. You cannot take GDNF pills because they do not pass the blood-brain barrier. If you would like to learn more then contact me, it costs nothing!

It is GLIAL DERIVED NEUROTROPHIC FACTOR! Glial cells in the brain, manage the production of this very important chemical. IT REVERSES PARKINSON'S DISEASE SYMOTOMS. I have been without PD symptoms since 1996. Doctors know all about it but do not tell us about it, maybe thinking we would not understand. They definitely don't tell us how to put GDNF back into the brain. Why should they? I am 88 and have had PD symptoms since 1993, but was only diagnosed in 1992, because of all the exercise I was doing.

It is the lack of GDNF that causes PD.

The cause of PD is too little GDNF in the brain. Fast walking produces a lot of GDNF and that reverses the PD symptoms. It took me about 3 years to get to where I had no PD symptoms.

Sorry for parsing words here but it's a lack of dopamine that causes PD, not a lack of GDNF. I don't think John is wrong but I don't think it's that simple either. I do a lot of things that I hope will help me with PD; I watch what I eat and drink. I read whatever I find on the subject of PD. I try to meditate. I use a treadmill 3 or 4 times a week. I go to Tai Chi classes. I've at least tried most of the remedies mentioned on this website over the past three years. I don't think I'm cured but I don't think I'm getting any worse either. Maybe that's the best I can do.

Hi Kay. GDNF manages the production of Dopamine in the brain. So, putting the cart before the horse. the lack of GDNF causes the lack of Dopamine!

Hi John, is it possible to break down the walking into 2 half hour sessions and still get some benefit ?

I don't know! Why would you want to do it that way? If it is because you get too tired after half an hour you must stop. The idea is to build up very slowly from ten minutes a sessions for 2 weeks and every week add an additional five minutes. It should take you sixteen weeks. Don't forget, it only helps the PD when you are walking as FAST AS YOU CAN! Don't try to do too much too quickly.

I don’t think you mean to say that ONLY fast walking is beneficial. There are many ways to get strenuous exercise: e.g., running, biking, swimming, tennis, skiing, rowing, kayaking, etc.

You are correct, but, the MAYO CLINIC STUDY SHOWED THAT HIGH INTENSITY WALKING IS THE ONLY EXERCISE THAT PRODUCES THE GDNF!

This, i think, is because walking fast is unnatural and the braiun thinks you are in danger and the GDNF is produced to repair any brain damage.

Nothing else tested was able to produce GDNF!

Thanks John, I every weekend go for long brisk walks.its just that I am lucky enough to still be working and I am trying to get the balance during the week of getting enough sleep and finding time to walk as well

But, we must ask, causes a-synuclien to misfold?

aS is made mainly iin the bowel and appendix so, if there is misfolding, your gut health is the first place to look.

Then check the other known causes of PD symptoms - trauma, toxins, stealth infections - and you are on the way to wellness.

I had been taking the Seaweed from the Transformation factory that was on Shark Tank. I really couldn't decide if it worked or not. I used it for 3 months. Maybe I should try it agan.
