Just starting to look into the benefits of B1 for PD sufferers. Does any-one have experience of the efficacy of this. I have just bought Daphie Bryan's book so I am looking forward to reading it. The proceeds of the book sales go to a Gofundme page for more research into Parkinsons Disease

Parkinsons with B1

I started on the B1 therapy in early November, and my Parkinson's has gotten a lot worse. While I do not attribute this to the B1 therapy ,it seems to have done little good.

So sorry to hear that. It's so disheartening isn't it? we are all so eager to find something that helps and I have seen that it doesn't work for quite a few people.

According to the literature, Daphne’s book included, the worsening of symptoms is often an indicator of B1 overdose. This calls for a correction in dosing, first by taking a break and then resuming at a lower dose.
I started with 1000 milligrams of B1. After experiencing restlessness and lack of sleep, I stopped taking B1 for about a week, then I started 500 milligrams B1 daily. It didn't work.

Did you give up with the B1 therapy?

Increased symptom issues after starting B1 is generally a sign of B1 overdose.

No, I'm still taking 500 milligrams daily. Just in case a miracle happens.

Good for you as you never know when or if it will start working. From what I am reading it's journey of trial and error. Good luck
Thank you.
