Stories like this hit the headlines of major journals and news papers every years to remain in the limelight. However after some time it collapses like heap of straws and we are lured by another beam of hope. This cycle resets every year with new false hopes. I think the researchers and organizations do this only to keep their business alive with no concern about the actual goal i.e. the cure.
