Does anyone know why so many of the study locations are listed as "not yet recruiting" ?

There are a variety of reasons they may not be approved by the company to recruit subjects yet - there is a lot of "red tape" that research centers have to go through before they can enroll patients in a study - the most important is getting approval for the study and patient consent form from their IRB - Institutional Review Board - the watchdog of the study at an institution. Geting IRB approval and a final informed consent can take 6 months or longer at some institutions.

Thank you. I am waiting on MUSC (medical university of SC) Murray Research center. If anyone out there hears anything about that location, please post. I have called them but not heard back from the investigator
