Binaural Beats: Ditch the Theta Waves!

Somebody on FB warned me that PwP probably should not be amping up their theta waves as their theta waves were already amped up. I dug into this and they seem to be correct, so please ditch any theta wave (6 Hz) Binaural Beats you have downloaded.

This is what I learned: Dave’s Summary of Brainwave Differences in PwP

• EEG slowing down (more low frequencies, less high frequencies).

• Increased inter-regional coherence especially at beta band frequencies (13–30 Hz).

◦ I think this could be referred to as pathological cortical synchronization. Too much synchronization in the beta frequencies.

• Increase in delta activity in PwP who have dementia.

• Increase in theta activity in PwP who do not have dementia.

hi Bolt, I was intrigued by your study of binaural beats. I lack tech so plan to ask for help downloading some beneficial combos. Have you heard of Heart Math App for coherance through meditation? I have trouble maintaining a high level of coherance. Maybe it is due to PD.

Seems to be some kind of biofeedback device. It's not for me, but I am not here to discourage anybody from trying anything.
