If you're referring to the period after waking, then it is known as 'sleep benefit', is poorly understood but may be the result of neurotransmitters accumulated whilst sleeping that are otherwise in short supply.

they should realluy do some sort of study on this .....how do the transmitters accumulate...maybe it's state of mind that can be replicated while awake...I know it sounds comical, but I felt aboslutely normal....

I have had that experience in the afternoon for about 2-3 hours. Not every day but when it happens it's great. Having some issues with sleeping so the feel good time doesn't happen in the morning. Hope your good times happen often.

My HWP is at his best just after sleep and doesn’t take meds til about 8 30 to 9 in the morning. No PD symptoms and functions really well. He recently said about it to our new PD nurse and she said if you want to see if delaying meds help for a while do that. He isn’t on a lot of meds for 7 years in. He often forgets to take his meds during the day, but realises sometimes he is just slowing up a bit!

Mornings are my worst time, having gone without meds during the overnight period. I often wake during the night in pain and am unable to get back to sleep because of that pain and my first meds aren’t taken til 6:00 am. Sometimes relief is not found until after my 2nd dose at 10:00.

I feel great 20 minutes after going to bed at night. I sleep well for 6 hours and when I wake up I can walk and run normally but 1 hour after waking up the symptoms return.

as soon as I get out of bed in the morning , I start shuffling around. But immediately prior to that while laying down I feel somewhat normal, very strange considering my last meds were at 5pm the day before. Then it takes awhile(almost an hour) for meds to take effect(by taking affect, I mean I feel like crap vs. real crappy when on meds)

So much so, that I want to stay in bed. But we can't do that now, can we?

I feel good for about an hour or so after I get up. I wish I felt like that the rest of the day!

My mornings are my best time. I was wondering about the reason. I am only taking 2 C/L a day. First at 11 am and then at 4 p.m.

I am guessing that this is something that people in an early stage of Parkinson’s experience. I also have felt this way but I’m seeming to experience it less and less as time goes by.

If you get a good sleep maybe it’s the effect of glymphatic system cleaning up the brain overnight and hence feeling good for first few hours.

People who are having terrible mornings might not be having good restful sleep then if this theory is correct.

My Neuro once asked me what times I take my PD meds. I told him about 9 or 10 AM and about 10 or 11 PM. He thought I should take my PM meds earlier. I take them late because ....I have dinner later and don't want the protein interference; I am at times on-call at night for my job and don't want to have to wait for meds to work; I sometimes forget to take; but most of all because I am not stiff slow and foggy in the morning.

yes generally feel good on waking and for the first hour. I always assumed it was a combination of sleep and building up a small pool of dopamine overnight which then quickly gets consumed.
