My wife is participating in a study at Wake Forrest Hospital in Winston Salem NC. Again it is a 50% chance out of 22 subjects that 11 will get placebo device. I don't know the actual method of approach. It's only been 1 week at 18min 2x day. With the total study for her to be completed in 12 weeks. If anyone is in the Winston Salem NC area at this time there is still a few openings for this study.

Official Title: Using Time Varying Non-Invasive Neuromodulation to Improve Neurovascular Status in Parkinson's Disease

Detailed Description: Patients treating twice daily using a non-invasive brainstem modulation device. Study participants will self-administer treatments in the home setting over a period of 12 weeks. Changes in cerebral blood flow perfusion, cerebrovascular reactivity and functional connectivity between the pre-treatment baseline and the end of the treatment period will be monitored and compared to changes in validated standardized clinical measures of motor and non-motor symptoms in PD.

Is this Caloric Vestibular Stimulation they are testing? Caloric Vestibular Stimulation for PD has looked very good so far: Caloric vestibular stimulation for the management of motor and non-motor symptoms in Parkinson's disease pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/313...
