“30% of people diagnosed with Parkinson’s do not actually have Parkinson’s,” Eddy Benami, CTO, and co-Founder of Neuralight, emphasizes as we sit down and discuss the current shortcomings regarding medical diagnoses. “And it is similar statistics for other neurological diseases and let’s not even get started on what’s going on in psychology and psychiatry.”
High Tech on the Low : You May Not Be Dia... - Cure Parkinson's
High Tech on the Low : You May Not Be Diagnosed Right
Maybe next time I see my doctor, he'll say, "Whoops, you can forget the whole Parkinson's thing. We screwed up. You've just had a bad cold that has been hanging on. Here, take these and you'll be fine in a week."
Actually, many researchers have stated that Parkinson’s is actually a number of similar ailments, rolled into one, so we have Parkinsonism. I just don’t know what a correct answer would be, so I would be reluctant to go along with such a statement, as ‘30% of people diagnosed with Parkinson’s, do not actually have Parkinson’s!’ Perhaps the word ‘Parkinson’s’ is misleading!
So... solution is based on analyzing patient eye movements...And 30% don't have PD? Even though a DAT Scan says they do have PD? I was Dx'd with APS then told I probably don't have it. Then I was Dx'd with MS but after two years of treatment was told I possibly don't have it. Now I'm Dx'd with PD. I didn't think I had it but the DAT Scan says I do. Sheeeesh.
This sounds and looks like the very same nonsense The Tory party used with their various so called health experts to push through Austerity in the Uk.
You think you have Parkinsons and youve been diagnosed with Parkinsons and youve got the symptoms of Parkinsons but guess what, we the Government know better and we really dont think you do have Parkinsons.
