How do I apply for clinical trials in Parkinson’s

And every trial you find will have instructions for participating, usually near the bottom. Usually an e-mail address to contact.

clinicaltrials.gov also has all trials in the US both by NIH and otherwise. It's not limited to USA.

Process:

The study will list contact people. Or google till you find a contact. There may be a page with the locations by zip code, that are taking patients.

Studies are coordinated by the sponsor (NIH or drug company or whomever). Then doctors sign up to participate, and take care of patients on the study. The sponsor sends out ads and recruits for patients to know about it. There will be a central recruiting contact number too.

If you contact central recruiting they'll do a basic screening (do you have the condition and meet basic study requirements like age). They'll send you to a participating doctor's office who's research coordinator will explain more. They'll interview you, bring you in for basic labs and tests, and to explain even more and see if you want to sign up. Even if you don't, it's a good way to visit another doctor and get more info.

If you hear of it from the doctor or an add that sends you to the doctor's office, you bypass central recruiting.

I learned of two studies from FB ads of all places. Orchestra and Prism. Not all study gets an easy catchy name but it helps when they do!

If you're hitting a wall, a nurse at a teaching hospital's doctor may point you in the right direction.
