Has anybody had success reducing drooling? Also has anybody had success gaining weight. I am down to 97 pounds and I am 5 foot seven

I have started amantadine recently. It is the only drug I am on. My drawing increase significantly and I have lost even more weight. Does anybody have any success reducing drooling and gaining weight.

Early in my disease - the doctor suggested I use Atropine eye drops which is an off label use but very effective.Dry the mouth completely of saliva (so as not to dilute the drops) and add a couple of drops under the tongue

As my disease is quite advanced now - my ENT does botox to the relevant muscles to alleviate the problem. It works very well. It last 3-6 months depending on severity

Hey Marcia - I haven't had to deal with excess saliva yet. But I am recently down to 135 and I'm 5'9". I was holding pretty good at 145, but I noticed just today that I have slacked off on my H-pylori regimen. Bigl62 above may be on to something. I'm going to get back on my Gastro Mend and see what happens. Will report back. P.S. It's interesting to note that when I have an endoscopy and they biopsy for H-pylori it always comes back negative. It took a stool analysis for the H-pylori to show up. Keep your chin up. I'll try to do the same (- :

Does anyone know of a nutritionist / doctor who works with PD people? I need advice. There’s so much writing about diet but also a lot of conflicting information.
