Adventures in grocery shopping

Every year I go through severe S.A.D. Seasonal Affective Disorder. I'm hoping the PD won't be too bad now that it's warmer.

It's Spring!!! More or less. So I ran down to the grocery but didn't realize how little a motorbike could carry. There's actually a small storage area under the seat. I brought a backpack as well. I jammed the cargo space full under the seat , and filled the backpack, but had no room for the most important item, the beer. I don't drink beer in winter but make up for that in Summer.

I welded a metal plate to the seat frame. My nephew suggested saddle bags or a mochilla like the Pony Express carried. I've ridden in several Pony Express re-enactments and don't think they were meant to carry beer. Just a lot of envelopes. The re-enactments are cool. We carry real mail and get a stamp showing the mail was carried on horseback by Pony Express. . I handed off the mail at the stone remnants of a Pony Express Station in Sweetwater County. My wife accompanied me and was the first woman ever to carry Pony Express mail in the state.

The beer was secured with bungie cards.
