Before my HWP was diagnosed correctly I did research on chronic faitigue syndrome and Rhodelia is recommended in China and Europe. I may take a look at this supplment again as that is the base for Salidroside. Rhodelia can be stimulating and recommended not to take after 11am. It did not significantly help with faitigue, but it may be beneficial for reducing oxidating stress and neuro protection.

In this detailed and elaborate report they do not disclose whether the mice were treated with the test substance before, during, or after treatment with toxicant. This is a first in my experience (And not in a good way). However in the cell culture model they pretreated with the test substance first before exposing the cells to toxicant. This is not a valid model of Parkinson's – in the case of actual Parkinson's, it is diagnosed long after a toxicant has done its damage.

"PC-12 cells were incubated with Sal (2, 10, 50 μM) for 2 h, and then exposed to 500 μM MPTP for 24 h to determined the protective of Sal "

" Animals and experimental design

Forty male mice were randomly assigned to four groups (ten mice per group): (1) Control group, (2) MPTP group, (3) MPTP + Sal (40 mg/kg) group, (4) MPTP + Sal (80 mg/kg) group. The mice were injected with MPTP (30mg/kg, dissolved in normal saline, intraperitoneal i.p.) for 5 days, while the control group mice were injected with the same amount of normal saline (i.p.). Mice were given Sal (40 and 80 mg/kg) at corresponding dose by daily intragastric gavage (i.g.), while the control group mice were given identical volumes of purity water"
