Massive facial hair 🙁

I'm not sure if this is the direct result me taking madopar but in the past two years or so my facial hair... beardies and all that stuff has been growing at an extremely fast rate, i can barely keep up with it. Not that I mind that much... I mean it's kind of fun that my looks is able to intimidate some people these days 😅

But just wondering has anyone else experienced this? Is this a known side effect of madopar or is it just me?

It might. Some red lights will help hair growth and thickness. I don't know that much about it, but I've been thinking of getting a helmet for PD but and I was hoping it might help my thin hair at the same time. Since I'm female I don't want to grow a beard or anything. 🤣 Look on Google sometime and see what you can find and I will too.

Regrettably, the only place I'm growing a lot of hair is my ears. I blame age rather than RLT.

I have noticed that, - having massive problems with earbuds constantly falling out. Impossible to self-trim properly

I also have experienced it, I suppose it could be the medication but I doubt it because it was the meds that caused all the hair on my legs ,chest, arms and hands to fall out. Now smooth as a , any way the hair on my face, neck and ears is growing much faster now. I need to shave every day and of course I am retired so I dont. Some days I look like wolf man, but like you say ,I dont care .

Be happy Grumpy , did you know , Your hair continues to come out for a period after you are dead.

Not really. Dehydration caused the skin to retract making the hair and nails seem longer.

Some how related to your last paragraph I'm beginning to think that maybe lots of facial hair is a disadvantage because they need nutrients to grow and keep them healthy thereby depriving the rest of the body vital nutrients. So that can't be a good thing. Don't ask me for the link because it's just a thought that came to me now 😃

Grump......... Lots of facial hair is a big disadvantion if you are surronded by Daughters, Daughters in law. female grandchildren and wife .

Women can't grow ear hair......so ladies, we've got that on our side. It is on the Y chromosome only. 🙌
