Ok, thanks. As always, seems to be a very long wait before it can be used for PD treatment, ironically.

South Korean researchers are working on "dialing your cells back" to stem cell stage and injecting them into area of brain which produces dopamine -- which is expected to recover lost cells. Worked in monkeys with donor stem cells but immune system attacked outside cells.

Third stage trial in UK (over 2024) for Bydureon (repurposed Type II diabetes drug) to stop Parkinson's progression. Very successful in earlier trials.

So it's known that alpha synuclein collects in the brain of PD victims. But is it proven that it is toxic to the brain? Or could it be an innocent sequellum?
