Anyone heard of this?Cuban investigators ... - Cure Parkinson's
Anyone heard of this?Cuban investigators have developed a technique to implant live nervous cells deep into the brain that cures Parkinson's
I took a look and everywhere else on the web it says this what they are doing:
Long-term effect of unilateral subthalamotomy for Parkinson’s disease

This study was started 13 years ago. Thus, it doesn't sound like the results was that significant.
This is focused ultrasound which has already been proven in Switzerland and elsewhere. My point is not to advocate for doing this procedure in Cuba. The point is that this appears to be what they are doing rather than stem cell treatment.
My point is it only treats the symptoms and isn't a cure.
Seems to be a different procedure than the focused US. One is treatment with heat-(focused US) to ablate the areas responsible for tremors, and this treatment in Cuba aims to implant generative cells - maybe in the hope of regenerating cells? not very much info in the article provided or anywhere else. Lots of information out there about focused US.
I sent an email to the canadian company that organizes "health tourism" to Cuba -- they said they'd get back to me after talking with the folks involved in this in Cuba. That could get us an answer!
