I have more and more difficulty driving. I feel rigid, insecure, fearful. I tend to avoid roads that are unknown to me, highways and freeways. Are any of you having the same difficulties as me?

To drive the car.
Not exactly, but I only drive when I am comfortably “on,” and then only within a 15 mile distance from home.
I've been working on improving my peripheral vision and visual processing skills for a while now and it's definitely improved my confidence on the road. I know that some F1 drivers do this sort of stuff as well. I'm definitely not going to give up driving without throwing everything at it.
Hi Fed1000, I use a program called eyegym. It's South African and its sports based. Recently I'm using BrainHQ.
I stopped driving about 4 months ago. My reflexes are still quite good, but I’ve found I’m too anxious now, particularly when driving freeways. I’m more prone to panic attacks and am just too over-cautious. I’ve always loved to drive, especially road trips, so it’s hard. I’ve driven maybe twice since I made that decision - only on backroads and within 3-5 miles from home, but I feel confident I made the right decision.
I'm thankfully not having any issues- actually I'm driving more alert and confident- probably because I'm anticipating it might get worse..So I'll take it as long as I can..
I felt like that for a few months before I was diagnosed. After I started on C/L and all my supplements, my driving and anxiety are back to normal… for now.
I no longer drive at night, but that's perhaps a common old age thing
At 73; six plus years post dx, just happy to drive locally, no freeways, daytime only. I’m more aware of merges and lane changes, and if there is a choice of route, take the less travelled, less traffic option. Very important, don’t drive during off periods even if it means shifting medication schedule.
