Imperial college use AI to improve Parkinsons treatment

Imperial college are using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to try to monitor patient symptoms more frequently than intermittent clinic appointments. They aim to teach the computer to make the neurologists diagnosis and fine tune medication, and thereby improve treatment

Subsequently they hope to develop treatment devices akin to the emma watch from this technology

Thanks for sharing the article, I m a big fan of the BBC news but somehow missed it. Seems a step in the right direction for a devise to help Neurologists diagnose and help with finding the correct meds for each individual, which varies widely and can be a bit hit and miss for many people with PD. It was interesting to see that Rory Celan Jones approached his Neuro as he felt the meds weren’t doing what he thought they should do! Mirrors my husbands experience completely with initial diagnosis and meds, didn’t feel they helped.
