Good video, Thanks for posting. I like 12 minutes or less. It certainly offers the best prospect for less slow solution provision

Experience with Exanatide means I'm not going to use the "F" word (faster)

So, repurposed is our best prospect but given the historic failure rate of trials, if they try say 3 at a time, how long until they find at leasst one? Point being, how can we support, encourage, rally, fund, highlight, whatever it takes, researchers to do more of these repurposed drug trials? "A treatment in time for us." is my quest.

UDCA??

in reply toDespe

Thank you Despe. Researchers / Professors like him are heros to me. Our ultimate fate is in their hands. Their work must be so gratifying. Or at least I hope it is. I wish we could show our appreciation. I will watch this tomorrow for sure! In a comment from 5 months ago, CP said "UDCA is currently undergoing clinical trial to investigate this." "The team at Sheffield tested 2,000 drugs" That is wonderful to hear.

You are welcome! Always a pleasure to discover new information on Parkinson's disease modifying/repurposed medication. I was thinking about having my husband replace NAC with TUDCA. I have to do some more searching though. . .

My integrative doctor prescribe TUDCA for me.

in reply togaga1958

Is it prescribed for your kidney health or for PD? What dose did they prescribe? I'm very curious about this. I just started taking it. I'm talking to functional medicine doctor, Dr. Todd LePine on Friday and I will ask him about it.

PS dose is 300mg daily

Thanks! Your answer is good enough for me to order TUDCA. Also, Rescuema, very knowledgeable individual, asked me to look into it.

Did he/she prescribe it for PD or a liver condition?

For PD. He told me what it’s for, but I’m on so many supplements and I can’t write, and I didn’t retain what he told me.

For PD. See my response below

Despe, the video was very informative. Thank you. I learned about the trial process. UDCA is also being tried elsewhere but I don't think he said where. Is your husband taking NAC in addition to the Quicksilver Glutathione?

Despe in reply to

CC,

Yes, he takes NAC, too.

I believe the professor mentioned MS. He was so forward with trials and their requirements I couldn't believe it.

in reply toDespe

He is transparent and sincere. I trust him. I want to bring more attention to his work and get him more support. We need to go straight to supporting the researchers like this amazing man who has been jumping through all these bureaucratic hoops on our behalf for years. I'm done with throwing my money at humongous non-profits and getting no response when I repeatedly inquire about what is being funded. I want to fund the researchers and their trials directly.

Be leery of dot orgs! The biggest fraud. I never contributed to such organizations, especially MJFF.

in reply toDespe

I want there to be a means to directly fund trials and fund the researchers pursuing trials.

Exactly, but where are they?

Despe, how old is this talk? Didn’t see a date anywhere. Hopefully, his Christmas timeframe is coming or was last year? Surprised in his passing comment about Ibuprofen. Thx

The talk was in Jan 2019. Here is "Cure Parkinson's" answer to one of the questions:

Hello Ahmed - thank you for your interest. UDCA is currently undergoing clinical trial to investigate this.

Ibuprofen is anti-inflammatory, PD is an inflammation so it fights inflammation. If you search "Parkinson's, Ibuprofen" you will find a lot of good information on how Ibuprofen helps PwP.

in reply toDespe

But it is very hard on your gut. I missed what he said on ibuprofen.

If you search "Ibuprofen, Parkinson's" you will find a lot of articles on it.
