First of all, I don’t sell or promote this device. Just a PWP that wanted to share my experience.
I ordered this device 2 weeks ago. It’s a helmet device that shines both red light and infrared light on my head for 24 minutes 2 times a day. It’s helped my sleep more than anything. I am almost sleeping normal which I’m turn helps all my symptoms. It’s also has helped with depression. All in about 2 weeks.
They make them in Australia. It took about 2 weeks to get here. Also, they are less money than it shows because of the currency exchange ( if in the US)
It’s definitely worth it, especially if it helps your sleep.

Yes, they come from Tasmania ( Australia). I’ve been tempted, but have been waiting for someone to report on its effects. Please keep us informed on any further improvements
There is a cheeper option called the Merv, I use it and recommend it, it does the exact same as the one that's being spoken as bout now, look up on Facebook Dorsett Men's Shed in Tasmania, they retail for about $300 ... Well worth it
Yes, we also bought that one. My brother who has Parkinson’s has been using it for about 18 months. It has definitely helped him with apathy, sense of smell, and other cognitive functions.
My mother has been wearing the helmet too - since 3 months now (made it myself), and is having longer and deeper sleep than before - now sleeps for 5 hours at a stretch in the night before waking up to go to the bathroom and again falls asleep almost immediately for another 3 to 4 hours of good sleep,; better balance and more upright while walking and a better mood during the day. I make her wear the red light, followed by the near infra red light, each for 20 minutes, twice a day. I have cut down her Levadopa from 5 to 4 tablets a day ( a 20% reduction) since doing the Red Light Therapy.
I have started to believe even more strongly that alternative approaches are also very important to combat PD. Red Light Therapy, Drinking Silica Water, Broccoli sprouts/seeds and Thiamine ( vitamin B1) are some that come to mind. While all of them may not work for everyone, some will definitely help. There is a wealth of info on the board regarding many of these.
I’ve been using mine for about a year. I started with the bucket hat from the Tasmanian men’s shed, then moved on to the well red coronet which is more comfortable and automatic. I sleep really well now. One toilet trip during the night, then straight back to sleep. The coronet is very light so postal costs shouldn’t be too bad.
Thanks. Just realized that when I opened the box. Can't seem to get a good fit for my hubby. If I fit it to his head he complains that it is too hot and burns. If I loosen it a bit, it gets wobbly and moves around. Any ideas on this? I emailed Catherine but haven't heard from her yet.
My husband who is very handy, is also an electrician, made me one for about thirty dollars. I feel silly with a bucket on my head but it works as well as the one that they sell for hundreds. There are a few DYI videos out there on this. Only used it a couple of times but I do it every day and I’ll let y’all know how it goes in time.
One of the recommendations for hwp was an infrared sauna. Initially hwp would do 11/2 hours - 15 minutes in - 30 second cool shower - continue for 4 - 15 minutes sessions.
