I believe this company has great potential to cure Alzheimer's, Parkinsons, and other age related diseases. Watch this video and be encouraged.

Was just thinking the other day how great it would be for someone to start doing CRISPR to shut off telomerase.

I think this guy is the real deal. I'm frustrated at how long it's taking to begin human trials, but the quality of those on the scientific advisory board along with Dr. Fossel and the company officers gives me cautious optimism.

Why do you think it's taking so long to raise funds? If the evidence for potential success is as impressive as this funding pitch implies, the amounts requested are small change to a major biotech. Why not bring in a well-funded partner?

I have the same question. I have been following Dr. Fossel for nearly two years and I assumed they needed at least 10 times the amounts he quoted in this video.

Maybe. Or maybe its something I see a lot - greed (or commercial naievity sometimes).. Entrepreneurs without sufficient capital for their project are unwilling to give up enough of the equity for their (not yet existing) future business empire.

If not that, maybe as you say the necessary costs have been underestimated, or maybe the certainty of success overestimated

I have the same concerns about Jeanne Loring and Aspen. Still no phase 1.

It's frustrating everything moves so slow (including my fingers typing this). I was diagnosed in March 2018, and within a few months participated in a webinar about the exciting phase 2 results for Bydureon (Exanatide). The phase 3 trial has finally started, but is still recruiting, and the expected completion is end September 2023

Its like walking through porridge :-(

Sounds promising.

Impressive, seems like the real deal. However I'm sure those who have had PD for much longer than I have seen this all before.

Exactly - that's what's broken in the current allopathic medicine. We must understand the underlying cause in order to address the root of the problem for a true intervention/healing.

However, I can't help it. Using genetically engineered virus vectors ...

I AM LEGEND here we come.

Don’t understand all the Science behind it but I ll read up about it. Sounds Impressive to me and his Scientific advisors look to be experts in their own field.

Jim:

You are a little late to the treasure hunt. He has been on this journey for the Holy Grail of anti-aging and curing ALZ for 35+ years. I suspect it may last awhile longer. Good luck to both of you in your quest. I sincerely hope someone succeeds.

Hi

I asked them a question and he replied with this..... does anyone know what TA-65 is ?

“We intend to start with Alzheimer’s, then move ahead with other age-related neurodegenerative diseases, including and especially Parkinson’s disease. Our initial PD trials are probably 3 years away.“

“Most nutraceuticals likely have little or no benefit, unless you have a specific deficiency, which is not uncommon. However, if I had PD and was looking for the most effective compound, I would be taking TA-65.“

Best wishes,

Michael Fossel, MD, PhD

President and Founder

"TA-65® is a patented, all natural, plant-based compound which can help maintain or rebuild telomeres, that diminish as people get older."

tasciences.com/what-is-ta-6...

I don't buy it, but at least he acknowledges nutritional deficiencies matter.

"The active ingredient of TA-65 was isolated from the herb Astragalus membranaceus and patented by Geron, a biopharmaceutical firm in Menlo Park, California. Research sponsored by TA Sciences and other companies has shown that the compound can lengthen telomeres in mice2 and humans3, but Greider and others are sceptical of the assay used."

If you want to keep your telomeres longer, exercise.

For other reasons I tried taking an Astragalus extract. Initially it seemed to help, but after about a week it caused dystonia :-(

I have over a pound and half of organic astragalus (must be careful with contaminants) that I used to make tea out of. I bought it because it's one of Dr. Weil's favorite immune-boosting herbs. I didn't notice any particular benefit and simply stopped taking it. I might give it a go again... who knows. 😬

Cycloastragenol, which is an isolate of Astragalus.

You’re saying TA-65 has Cycloastragenol? Have you used any of this? Thx

sharoncrayn profile image
sharoncrayn in reply to gaga1958

No I am not.

TA-65 = Cycloastragenol, which is an isolate of Astragalus which is why the use of the herb extract or the whole herb is rarely a successful approach. I believe Fossel made this distinction abundantly clear, but apparently many didn't understand what he was implying. (This is his "theory" by the way).

A molecular isolate is an molecular isolate resulting from a high level of purification in the process of isolating it.

Commonly used term by chemists, ie, frequently used in discussing CBD or skin creams for example.

I am a biochemist without any interest in trying some unproven theory.

Good luck to you and Jim if you try it.
