I do prefer to use raw organic honey which is vastly superior over sugar if I must sweeten something, but I tend to avoid any excess glucose/fructose because I get more than enough from berries and fruit servings.
This is interesting to me because I never liked honey and I have been CRAVING it the past 2 years. I buy several different types of local honey. I always have 2 heaping tsp in a cup of tea at lunch and occasionally a second cup of tea/honey later in the afternoon.
Recently with the goal of being better hydrated, I started squeezing juice from 1/2 lemon or 1/2 orange in a glass of water. I was adding a tsp honey but stopped due to concerns about sugar. Maybe I should go back to the honey?
I may have missed it but did not see in the article how much honey to drink.
