AMS help
3 years ago I was dx'd with MS--multiple sclerosis--on an MRI. It showed lesions in the brain. MSA is multiple system atrophy. It could be confused with MS in early stages.
kaypeeoh....so you don't have MS....you are now diagnosed with PD? How did that happen? What happened to the lesions on your brain?
My brains MR
Show,s everything is normal still my doctor says there is a chance for MSA,they dont know yet what i hlavě
The MRI showed lesions typical of MS. Then the neuro said I might have MS and Parkinson's. He said that because I have a hand tremor. I took Tysabri infusions for over a year for MS then switched to SINEMET for Parkinson's. The only test for PD is called the DAT scan and not covered by insurance. I'm in a similar boat as you. The neurologist isn't sure what I have. The brain lesions haven't changed in over three years. With active MS they should have by now. Generally it takes three or more signs for a Parkinson's diagnosis. I just have the hand tremor.
