Probably my last photo. I officially retired from Veterinary Medicine yesterday. Today I'm in the clinic to clean out my desk and try to steal any drugs I can.Yesterday the local radio mentioned me and all day clients were coming by to congratulate but also to see who my replacement was. 5 minutes from locking the door this one showed up with a 10 inch long laceration on his back. I stitched the wound then injected ozone under the incision, 60cc at 40 gamma.

I've found that ozone greatly shortens healing time.

Hi Kevin, As a fellow vet I feel you. I love my clients. What a nice send off. Just make sure and keep your brain and body active! Best wishes on retirement!

Same question to you also lenamm if its ok with you 👍🏼😁

How many years of vet practice did you put under your belt?..

For how many years did your awareness of your PD symptoms or diagnosis overlap with your practice?

Are you tremor dominant PwP? If so how did shaky hands affect you during surgery?

Thank you

I'm on year 21, switched to acupuncture 15 years ago so no surgery since then. My PD came on sudden onset (30 minutes zero to - full sided left symptom s) five years ago. I quit working pre FUS surgery for four months but back to work three weeks post surgery. I do have right sided symptoms now but so far have enough muscle memory to needle. I am much more tremor and dystonia/dyskinesia dominant. Hoping to have FUS on my right side later this year. I'm 46 so hope to be able to continue both financially and because I love my job.

Wow, it's very brave of you and i admire your determination. I'm 55 and had PD for 3.5 years and i moan every day how PD has taken my life away from me so early

Did you do FUS USA or FUS Swiss? (EDIT I can see from another thread that you did your FUS in Switzerland)

Thank you for your reply

Thanks! It's not bravery as much as necessity. Went through a divorce shortly after PD onset, no retirement plans, son to support, and spending most of my savings on brain surgery. Either way I thank each day I'm able to carry on knowing at one point I may not be able to work.

I practiced for 36 years. The PD situation started three years ago. I have tremor dominant PwP. Maybe constipation and maybe dizziness caused by PD but maybe not related.

Hope you still had great years and enjoyed your career despite the rude interruption of PD

I wish you a very happy retirement

Thank you

Three years! Honeymoon phase. After five years I was disabled. I could not brush my teeth, cut my food, open a jar, and more as you know.

I found a news story about Doctor Costantini’s work with Parkinson’s. I am grateful to this day.

He does not sell medicine, book, workshop or charge a fee for his online consult with patients that do not want to travel to his office in Italy. His office visits do charge fee. He is currently in recovery from severe heart issue, not available.

I adopted his treatment advice just from what I read. Good results and I then emailed. He corrected my dose and I continued to have relief.

I wanted others to benefit so on my own I formed a Facebook group. Parkinson’s thiamine hcl

My husband takes 5 fiber pills twice a day that we get at Sam's and they have helped him a lot with constipation. Dr. told him to try this. Still has dizziness some days though.

Thanks to everyone.

Client just walked in. Said he heard on the radio I was retiring. Said he has his dogs in the pickup also. When they heard I was leaving they started howling like banshees.
