A claim of a drug for OCD designed by AI. If it's true, it could cut research time as well as costs.

Think of what your computer is good for. It is fast and has lot's of memory. From the standpoint of intelligence, it is still depended on the programmers and instructors. It is a tool for research. Another example: big data techniques are being used to find existing drugs useful for PD. Computers can speed up part of the work for researchers, but they can't actually perform the clinical trials, although they are very helpful with such. It looks like the most useful thing in this particular AI is keeping up with all the older drug history in predicting how chemicals will work. Something too large for a single person to keep up with.

There are people in Silicon Valley who state AI can replace almost every occupation there is, and is coming sooner rather than later. It's an interesting concept. What will people do for income?
