"Neurotoxic chemicals shouldn't be anywhere near our food, but chlorpyrifos, a pesticide that can harm children's brains even in small doses, may be contaminating the produce found at your grocery store.
Trump's EPA recently decided to protect this hazardous chemical, and pesticide industry profits, instead of children's health. Chlorpyrifos can legally still be sprayed on kids' favorite foods, like apples, peaches and grapes – despite the fact that the EPA's own assessments said the levels of chlorpyrifos found on produce are unsafe.
Toxic pesticides like glyphosate and neonicotinoids are putting species like monarch butterflies and bees at risk of extinction – and without these critical pollinators, our food system would be at risk. Are you concerned about the loss of important species due to pesticides?" Quoted from the Environmental Working Group
