13 Benefits of Yoga That Are Supported by Science -- as per Healthline
Yoga is a good thing
I have been practicing yoga, attending classes average of 4 times a week, for 7 years, since my diagnosis and following shoulder surgery. Cannot say enough good things about it. I have more upper body strength than I've ever had. My muscles have become more flexible. Has helped me retain my balance. And made me aware of my body, so helpful in managing symptoms.
Thanks for the article link. Always good to read of more benefits.
I'm still trying to master meditations. Yoga is next.
I have been practicing Mindfulness for about 6 years in addition to my yoga practice. I sit for a formal silent meditation every morning for 30 minutes and aim to remain present and mindful throughout the day. I also try to read something or contemplate a quote daily. Helps enormously.
If you don't mind my pointing out, your use of the word 'master' is 'striving'. Mindfulness practice would suggest you set an intention and observe, without judgment, your responses to that intention. If you are so inclined, lots of good talks (and guided meditations) at tarabrach.com
