Today is the shortest day of the year. Beginning tomorrow sunsets are happening later and shortly sunrises will be happening earlier as well. That said, it's also the first day of winter. There's always some bad to go with the good.

Something else that you have that is opposite, is the way water goes down the drain. North of the equator it goes down counter clockwise. I was in Bora Bora and noticed it went down clockwise!
