Devices for logging events?

hi, can anyone suggest apps or devices for logging time, date, and type of those small, but significant, events that happen during the day?

This would help me build up a better picture of the effect of my various supplements/ lifestyle changes etc.

the best option I can see so far is an Apple Watch with the Shortcuts app set up to allow a logo on watch screen for various events. These shortcuts would then add a line to a Numbers spreadsheet every time they are selected. Not tried this, but looks like might be feasible from playing with an iPhone (no watch test though)

Thanks in advance.

ZD,

If you are an apple person have you found Strive PD? strive.group/ or apps.apple.com/us/app/striv...

I think it may be what you are looking for.

I did come across this app apdaparkinson.org/apda-symp... and downloaded it but for some reason I cant remember I thought it was pretty janky and removed it without using it.

I would stick with your apply watch because Apple has developed and validated a movement disorders data gathering stack that can be coded into a variety of applications (developer.apple.com/documen... Several companies in the past year or 2 have already used this validated code library to deploy FDA approved diagnostic trackers for the Apple Watch. StrivePD is one and another I think is actually called Parky, parkynow.com/

Unfortunately I am an Android person but am considering switching just for this reason. I would love to hear about your experiences if you try it!

Onward!

Thanks very much! They look like great places to start. I was aware of the Apple work after reading Simon Stott’s piece here scienceofparkinsons.com/202... but hadn’t kept up to speed on it.

Looking at StrivePD and Parky I can’t see how you get your data off them if you want to do your own analysis. I guess this is the trade-off with these apps.

I need to do more research! (Don’t want to drag this OT with too much more detail)

StrivePD is coming out with significant update to their Apple app. I have been using it for med tracking and symptom tracking for a couple of months.. Works well. Watch does good job of tracking tremors and dyskinesia. I believe there are further along than other apps like Parky. The key to connection is prescription from your doctor. Hope that helps.

Google strive.group and I think gives you an entrance.

I’ve been using StrivePD for several years. Anyone can download and use the app for free. No prescription required. There’s additional benefits if your neurologist is signed up—shared data/history to enhance your appointment time.

The latest features look great—I like the activity integration!

Thanks - any idea if you can download data related to events yourself please? I’m interested in events and time.

From I hear in their presentation this week on update the detail data will be present in update display . Not sure about detail report you periodically email to your self and doctor but assume it will be there.
