Even though I wait 30 min. or 1 hour to eat protein after my pills, my cardopa/levadopa seems to wear off sooner.
Also for the past 4 months I've been smelling levodopa, right in my nostrils, does anyone experience the smell. It happens, when the levodopa starts to work also I take levodopa from mucuna pruriens the white powder that's 99% pure. I noticed the smell is the same as the pills. Thank you,🌺

No, it only happens with protein, tremor and left foot turn in, I loose 1 and half hours. I will
get 3 and half hours on 2 cardopa/levadopa 25/100. When I add just a pinch of macuna levadopa white 99% pure, on my next dose and rx isn't working as well, I'll get 4 - 5 hours. I can't really describe the smell, it's just very strong and then it will go away, it's smells like the macuna powder it's not a bad smell.
Protein is a problem. I now chew my madapor to increase absorption and try not to eat much protein at all. When I forget I can really tell.
I have been able to cope by postponing most of my protein intake to late at night.
The 99% pure kind is scary and can only be taken in minuscule doses. Very hard to titrate and yes, if you smell it, you are probably taking too much. I recall someone here saying that they use a micro scale.
Why not use the original ground seeds instead. It may only have about 5% Levodopa but works well.
I do have the whole herb mucuna from Barlows in the capsule but it doesn't seem to work as well as the 99% pure l-dopa and I only take like a pinch, as it is very powerful . I use nutrivita brand, they use co2 extraction .
It takes longer than one hour to empty your stomach. Levodopa and protein get together in the stomach and the levodopa ceases to be of any value to you, because it does not get to your brain.
Don't eat anything within one hour after taking your levodopa; and don't take levodopa within at least ninety minutes of eating any protein.
It's no use saying I have to eat! We are talking about getting levodopa into your brain.
