THIS FORUM IS VERY interesting and the alternative treatments (other than modopar or sinemet) give us a little hope . Would it be possile to sort out the different experience s and calculate the percentage of success of a product . Personally I am eager to know wether Vitami B1 "works" or not . but the testimpnies are variable . Thanks whoever can sum up the situation .

The best way to find out whether B1 works for you is to try it.

I will probably not really know since I am doing a few therapies at once. B 1, I have been taking 500 mg for 3 years, plus glutathione and l-dopa in the form of mucuna pruriens. I have had only a 5% increase in symptoms in that time. At present, my l-dopa has been increased, I have recently increased to 2 grams B 1, also taking a glutathione accelerator. I have been on Keto for 3 weeks hoping to lower my inflammation. I also work retail, so lots of register receipts hence high BPA exposure (bad for PD) which I now use nitrile gloves for. My friend has started me on TRS detox as well. I'm hoping to delay progression even more. I cannot pinpoint success to anyone thing, I'm thinking all will help. No pharma at all.

Since you ask for stats,

"please be informed that since we do not have the scientific community to support our studies we do not make claims about curing PD. We do observe in 99.99% of our 2,500 patients rather startling improvements and that is a fact that PD patients even know this forum experience themselves. "

Hi there my husband now 69 has been dx for 4 years but had symptoms at least 5 years before that. He is on C/L 4 times a day but 100/25 which is quite a lowish dose.

He takes B1 2gms Split dose since June

NAC 600 mg twice a day

Q10 1200mgs a day

Vitamin C with added b vitamins

Magnesium glyconate

Turmeric tablets as well as using the spice in cooking

HD fish oil

Cinnamon in food

Coconut oil

He’s never had constipation or problem with sleep, last meds at 6 30 then nothing till 7 the next morning.

Often sleeps in the afternoon.

Suffers from slowness, dexterity and fatigue - slight tremor that comes and goes.

Think this is slow progression but as we only know 1 other person with PD it’s hard to tell.

He uses supplements as suggested on here and research.

Walks quite a bit every day, exercises as from physio and our memory stick with other exercises from his time at the European Parkinson's centre in Italy.

Glad I found this website which really helps us. Thanks for all info.
