Does anyone use it?

Yep... I use it as an occasional healthy snack - not as as PD treatment.

Lo uso ciclicamente e mi sento meglio in generale, quindi anche con i sintomi di p.

I use it cyclically and I feel better in general, so even with the symptoms of p.

My gastroenterologist encourages the use of papaya enzyme to aid in digestion issues such as SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth). I am not aware of any relation of it to PD.

Been having it on our breakfast for years. Yummo. Don’t know about helping PD though. Certainly not in my husband’s case.

They used fermented papaya in the study. I think most people eat papya and the use of fermented papaya much less so. Many fermented foods offer benefit in a similar way by helping to add good gut bacteria and improving the microbiome to a healthier state where extreme responses are quelled and balanced for a healthier state of the body in general. Fermented foods may have similarities with synbiotics in this sense.
