Having a doom set belief -You're being scammed!!! How do respond back?

Or you're in a cult... or wife being held hostage, call the police now.

Sure next day it's as if nothing happened but recalled as a silly, crazy dream.

Being a set belief, how much reasoning if any do you do?

Ignore, but the loud call the police are hard to ignore.

Talking calming over time slowly changes, though may be just time running its course.

Or do you just change the channel, act calmly talking about something else?

Advancing stage of Parkinson's. Asking caregivers who have or are now dealing with doom set beliefs towards them. How they deal with it to help person with Parkinson's and their come and go doom set beliefs.

Have you spoken to the doctor about the delusions? The first thing that comes to mind is that it could be caused by medication overdose or mismanagement, as it was with my mother in law. The second is that there may be a drug to help.
