Phenylalanine

Reading about phenylalanine as a precursor to many neurotransmitters. It is contraindicated when taking l/d. I take 1/2 in a.m. and 1/2 in afternoon with mucuna. Considering going off both and experimenting with the phenylalanine. I have a friend who started taking it and has seen a profound effect. Any ideas???

Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid that you take in every time you eat protein. You then use it primarily to make your own proteins such as enzymes etc, and some other molecules like neurotransmitters.

Aspartame is a dipeptide of aspartic acid and phenylalanine.
