Irisin: Another Link Between Exercise and PD

By now we've all heard that intensive exercise can slow or even halt PD progression, but how does it work? What can we do to optimize the benefits? Why does it work better for some than for others?

Irisin is a muscle-secreted hormone that might hold some answers.

What's amazing - and a little sad - to me is that the first thing they want to do with it is to make a pill. For me, it makes me want to go out there and "secrete" some irisin of my own!
