Both Cogentin and Kemadrin are "anticholingeric" drugs which by some obtuse mechanism MAY work by bringing your dopamine and acetylcholine levels into balance. Presumably, in PD, the levels of dopamine and acetylcholine (Ach) fluctuate with acetylcholine possibly becoming too predominant. Anticholingerics (acetylcholines) block the signalling of acetylcholine (Ach) impacting presumably in a positive way their balance with dopamine.

For some PD patients, they work.
