A few months ago a swirling shape appeared in the right side of my right eye for around an hour. It slowly disappeared, but since then my eye feels like it has a cloud in it that I try to blink away. I’ve been to an ophthalmologist twice, and he has concluded it is a floater, which i know it is not.
Has anyone else had this? When I google it seems to be a symptom of MS but surely I can’t have both!

That could be a visual hallucination. They are common in PD and can be brought on by medication or by the disease or both. My neuro usually asks me about them. It has only happened occasionally and every time I have realised what is happening . This seems to satisfy him, he would be concerned if I thought it real. Visual hallucinations are all different but seeing something move or pass out the corner of your eye seems quite common.
Hi Astra, it's called ophthalmic migraine. Nothing to do with PD. It's usually benign.
Just google it and you should be reassured.
Google something called “amaurosis fugax” and see if the symptoms are similar. I am not a doc and this is no diagnosis. It was finally the name they put to my husband’s similar experience. I suggest you find a retina specialist. After an emergency room visit, and an ophthalmologist, it was the retina specialist who diagnosed it. Something to watch, but not to worry was the way he put it to us.

Did your husbands vision get back to normal?
I, also, have an irregularity in my right eye similar to what you describe. Two different ophthalmologists have called it a floater. It appears as a semi-transparent vitreous liquid, floating from left to right over the eyeball. They fade in and out without apparent damage. My right also has a wrinkled retina from a childhood accident, a more recent retinal tear, w/ cauterization, all resulting in double vision (diplopia) and d loss of depth perception.
The left eye has no particular problems except for participating, with the right, in causing the double vision and depth perception problems.

My husband is 75 and had cataract surgery a couple if years ago. Then developed double vision in left eye. Eye Dr. said can do nothing about it. Only time may correct it. Another gave him a prism to put over lens in glasses but since he doesn't wear them anymore he only uses it with sunglasses which actually isn't enough time for it to correct. The dbl vision does drive him nuts tho. He has to be at a certain angle to see T.V well and that is usually standing. I've noticed he doesn't see well at a certain distance but does fine close up, like playing games on IPAD yet uses large print reading on Kindle. I personally think he needs glasses correction but he won't. Too much trouble. He's had PD for at least 5 years and only takes Sinemet at night yet he's sleepy in afternoon. He used to take Rasagiline but a read out from the pharmacy said it and Carbo dopa levadopa should not be taken together. It can cause very high blood pressure and since he has had a couple of unexplained falls, he stopped taking it. He does not go to his Nuero very often, nor reg Dr., nor exercise class anymore. Does a little work in yard and house. Is difficult to get up from chair, stiffness and freezing but walking ok. Tremors noticible toward eve. Sleeps well but makes noises. I have to push on his back to get him up even tho we have adjustable bed. PD is so unpredictable. Has anyone else been taking Rasagiline with Sinemet? Or had a problem with it. I've started giving him a B complex. Later I plan to get B1 by itself to see if that makes a difference in freezing. He doesn't take other vitamins. He loves drinking milk. Don't know if that hurts. It sounds the same. I don’t think it’s a floater though as it’s more cloudy than solid and I have quite a few hair like floaters. It’s worst watching a movie or tv and driving at night. Yours? It drives me crazy!!
